We are so excited that you are interested in taking part in the 2017 Ruff Mudder!  It promises to be a day full of fun for all participants - two and four legged!

Below is all the information you will need to know regarding the registration progress and FAQ registration questions.  If you still have additional questions after reading through these details, please feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

2017 Registration Categories and Pricing

What is the VIP - Very Important Pup - Pass?

This amazing pass allows you UNLIMITED access to the Ruff Mudder course! Register for your first heat time at time of payment, and then you are free to join in any heat times following that throughout the day! Run a different dog each time. Register before June 3rd and your VIP pass will also include an awesome VIP Wag Bag for you and your pup!

Can I run multiple dogs at a time?

We are setting a requirement for only one dog per participating handler. Two people can come with one dog, but one person cannot bring two dogs. We feel that trying to navigate the course and obstacles with two dogs will take away from the full experience we are wanting to deliver to all participants. The obstacles are being designed with consideration given to the fact that each handler will have only one dog with them. If you have multiple dogs and dont want to leave anyone out, our VIP Pass is for you!.

How do I ensure I have the same start time as a friend?

During the registration process, you will be required to select your heat time. Just ensure you and anyone you want to run with all register for the same heat time. Heats are limited.

Will my dog have to be on leash?

YES. For safety of everyone participating, dogs must be leash at all times while on the event property. Leashes must be 4-6 feet. NO FLEXI LEASHES -- not even if in "lock" position.

What does my registration fee include?

All registrants will receive Ruff Mudder logo wear for both themselves and their participating dog. VIPs who register before June 3 will also receive extra swag for them and their Very Important Pup! In addition to the race, you will have access to on site vendors and family entertainment.

How do I know what my race start time will be?

During the registration process, you will be required to select your heat time. Heats will be running every 15 minutes..

I'm scared that this course will be too difficult for me?

Your Ruff Mudder team is out to create a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved - regardless of your fitness level. While we do recommend people with any prior health concerns such as heart issues, etc. check with a doctor before entering, we ensure that the course will be fit for people of all fitness levels. There is no time limit, so just go at your own pace and enjoy the experience.

I'm concerned about myself or my dog getting dehydrated on course?

No worries, there will be many water stations for both yourself and your dog throughout the course. In addtion, there will be lots of opportunies for both you and your dog to wade through the creek on course!

What if it is raining event day?

MORE MUD!! :-) We are running the event rain your shine! We have a 14,000 sq ft indoor vendor and agility area for you to take cover in while not racing. The race experience itself will just be even more memorable with a little extra rain and mud.

How old does my dog have to be?

We have set a minimum age limit of about 1 yrs old. Younger pups are still growing and developing both physically and mentally and we feel participating in the race itself may not be the best setting for these younger pups. We do however encourage owners to bring any pup over 12wks of age to the event grounds for some great socialization opportunities!

I'm concerned about my small dog being a group with larger dogs?

With all dogs on leash and many volunteers helping people along the course, small dogs will be able to fully enjoy the experience in a safe manner racing along side larger dogs.

What is the refund policy?

Full refund less $15 admin fee available up until May 22nd. Between May 23-June 25 transfers are welcome but no refunds.

Hello Amazing Ruff Mudder!

We are so excited to see you and your pup on Sunday! This email provides you with all the important event day information needed to help ensure you have an amazing experience!

First off, and perhaps most importantly, remember this is NOT a race! We encourage everyone to take their time and enjoy the day. Go at whatever pace you feel comfortable with. Stop and take photos, chat to the volunteers, encourage fellow participants!

Event address is 6725 Highway 26, Stayner, Ontario. Abernant Veterinary Services.

Please arrive at least a half hour prior to your schedule heat time. There is parking on site and signage and volunteers to help direct you accordingly. Proceed to the marked Registration table to get checked in.

VIP crating/setup area will be marked out with signage. This area will be inside the arena or under tents depending on what Sunday brings weather wise.

What to bring:

1. Water bottle. We will provide water on course but are asking that everyone bring their own refillable water bottle. Water bowls will be on course for the pups to enjoy.

2. Bug spray/Bug jackets. They are hungry but we’ve been successful in our efforts to train them to stay away from the scent of bug spray :-) so make sure to pack some good quality spray.

3. Money (cash) for some shopping and food! Some vendors will accept credit card payment, but lots will only accept cash. We have some great vendors that you won’t want to miss!

4. Appropriate clothing and footwear. You WILL get wet and muddy!! Please keep this in mind when dressing for event day. We have firefighters to hose everyone off at the finish line.

5. Cell phone in ziplock/waterproof bag. You will need this for all those awesome selfie stop photos you will be taking throughout the course.

A few rules that we ask all participants follow:

1. Dogs must be on leash at all times. No longer than 6’ maximum.

2. No extendable leashes at any time on event grounds.

3. Stay on marked trails at all times.

4. Pickup after your dogs. We have some garbage bags on course.

Remember about our various contests! Details of how to submit your photos for each contest will be posted immediately following event day.

1. Selfie Stop: We have a number of selfie stop signs throughout the course! Please take the time to stop at these stations and snap of photo of you and your group with your pups.

2. Help us find our Ruff Mudder Pup: Our beloved Ruff Mudder Pup is lost and we need your help finding him somewhere on course! He’s a little shy though so if you find him please don’t touch him. Snap a selfie of yourself and/or your pup with him to be entered into a draw!

3. Best Costume: Yep, we want to see you and your pup all decked out for Ruff Mudder!

4. Muddiest Mudder: We want to see MUD and LOTS of it on you and your pup.

5. Biggest Mudder Smile: We want to see how much fun you are having on the Ruff Mudder course! Snap photos of those happy, smiling faces.

We have multiple volunteers on course that are there to help you so don’t be afraid to ask them questions, get them to hold a leash, help you with an obstacle, etc.
